Personalized In-home Alternatives to Residential Treatment

Families often consider residential treatment when safety, structure, and consistency feel out of reach at home. Coach-Mentors offers a fully customized, in-home alternative that delivers the same pillars of high-quality care—safety, clinical integration, skill-building, and accountability—while preserving family connections and real-life practice in the environments where progress needs to stick.

Our programs are built around the individual. We tailor intensity (from 20 hours/week to live-in), staffing (1:1 or small team), schedule (days/evenings/weekends), and goals (clinical, educational, vocational, recovery) so your loved one can thrive at home with the right supports.

Why in-home works

  • Preserves family and community ties while delivering residential-level structure.
  • Builds skills where they’re used—at home, school, work, and in the community.
  • Increases follow-through by pairing therapy with daily coaching and accountability.
  • Gives parents and families a more active, self-directed role in shaping supports and reinforcing progress.

How we customize support

  • Intensity: 20–25 hours/week, step-up/step-down, or full-time live-in.
  • Staffing: Dedicated 1:1 mentor(s), overnight coverage, and specialized providers as needed.
  • Coordination: We align with your existing therapist, psychiatrist, school, and community supports.
  • Measurement: Clear goals, weekly progress updates, and data-informed adjustments.
  • Safety: Proactive planning, supervised transitions, and crisis response protocols.

What families can expect

  • One team, one plan: A single, integrated plan that aligns therapy, mentoring, education, and daily life.
  • Transparent communication: Regular updates, measurable goals, and clear roles for everyone involved.
  • Step-up/step-down flexibility: Increase support during crises; taper as skills and stability grow.
  • Safety and accountability: Structured days, supervised transitions, and proactive risk management.
  • Family empowerment: Parents and caregivers actively shape supports and reinforce progress at home.

Flexible intensity options

  • Part-time: Starting at 20 hours/week, scheduled around school, work, or treatment.
  • Enhanced: 25–40 hours/week with added evening/weekend coverage.
  • Live-in: 24/7 support for stabilization, resets, or high-structure phases.
  • Step-down: Planned reduction in hours as independence and reliability increase.

Getting started

  1. Consultation to clarify goals, risks, and priorities.
  2. Collaborative plan with clear milestones, roles, and schedule.
  3. Rapid launch (often within 3-4 weeks) and weekly progress reviews.
  4. Ongoing coordination with your providers; step-up/step-down as needed.
